Structure and principle of drilling pump

The drilling pump is mostly a horizontal three-cylinder single-acting reciprocating pistdrilling pumpon pump, which is composed of a power end assembly, a hydraulic end assembly, a lubrication system and a cooling system for each part. The crankshaft of the pump is driven by the power machine to rotate, and the crankshaft is driven by the crosshead to drive the piston or plunger to do reciprocating motion in the pump cylinder. Under the alternating action of suction and discharge valves, pressure feeding is realized with circulating flushing solution for the purpose.

How the drilling pump works

The power end drives the main shaft of the pump to rotate through the belt (or chain, cardan shaft), and then moves the piston to the right through the crank connecting rod mechanism, and the negative pressure is formed in the cylinder, and the liquid in the upper pool enters the cylinder by opening the suction valve under the action of atmospheric pressure, until the piston moves to the rightmost position to complete the suction process. The piston begins to move to the left, the liquid in the cylinder is squeezed by the piston and the pressure rises, the suction valve is closed, the discharge valve is opened, and the liquid is pushed out by the piston and the discharge valve enters the high-pressure manifold through the discharge pipe to complete the discharge process.
