China National Petroleum Corporation China's First Integrated Windowing and Anti-Magnetic Section Drilling Tool
2024-05-04 10:00China National Petroleum Corporation Introduced China's First Integrated Windowing and Anti-Magnetic Section Drilling Tool
Recently, the integrated windowing and anti-magnetic section drilling tool independently developed by China Petroleum Great Wall Drilling Engineering Technology Research Institute was used for the first time in the Su 10-54-54CH well in the Sulige tight gas oDrilling Toolsperation area, creating a domestic casing windowing and anti-magnetic section drilling tool. The one-trip drilling construction record fills the gap in this technology in China and marks a new level for Great Wall Drilling in the field of sidetracking window opening technology.
The integrated tool for window opening and anti-magnetic section drilling is mainly developed and applied to solve the problems of traditional window opening and cone milling process, such as complex process and high cost. The scientific and technological R&D personnel of the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Technology Research Institute conducted key research on grinding and milling material selection, tool structure optimization, welding process optimization, ground simulation testing and improvement, etc., and formed special tools based on new special grinding and milling materials and structures. Effectively simplify and shorten the window opening process and construction period.
It is understood that the Su 10-54-54CH well is a sidetracking horizontal well with a 5-1/2inch casing window opening. The window opening point is 2,856 meters deep. It uses a 118 mm diameter milling tap and can complete the window opening and drilling in 14 hours. For a construction task with a total footage of 20 meters, the construction period was shortened by 27%, adding a technical guarantee for low-cost and efficient tapping of remaining oil and gas resources.

It is understood that the Su 10-54-54CH well is a sidetracking horizontal well with a 5-inch half-casing window opening. The window opening point is 2,856 meters deep. It uses a 118 mm diameter milling cone and can complete the window opening and drilling in 14 hours. For a construction task with a total footage of 20 meters, the construction period was shortened by 27%, adding a technical guarantee for low-cost and efficient tapping of remaining oil and gas resources.
